Clean and Elevated First Floor Design Tips- as seen in the Beckett Model

Our latest model home, the Beckett, is a stunning design of Clean, Comfortable and Classic Selections. We often get asked about designing larger spaces and how to make it all feel like it flows. Here are a few things we did in this home that would be great to try in your space if you like this aesthetic.

Paint throughout the First Floor:

We wanted to keep the paint very simpler so we chose the PPG Paint Color: Storm’s Coming PPG1008-2 and had it flow through the entire first floor. We use the PPG Paint Color: Shadowy PPG0998-4 as an accent color for the Chair rail in both the foyer and into the study. Choosing one color lets the other elements like the stone fireplace, bold lighting and wallpaper selections really shine.

Defining the Open Spaces:

The first floor flows from the living room to the morning room and kitchen. We chose to wallpaper the morning room wall with something simple- yet full of texture. The clean white cabinets in the kitchen also features a barrel ceiling. We wallpapered this to  draw the eye up and makes the space feel unique.
