The runways have been full of stunning designs at this years Spring/ Summer 2026 New York Fashion Week. Designers work all year to showcase their interpretations of the trends they want to highlight. From the location they host in, the accessories, hair and makeup and of course the clothing.
In October- we head to the biggest furniture market showcases and there you can tell the influence fashion has. Some trends we are excited to see in furniture and decor that we saw all over the runway below. What styles would you be excited to see?
Tailoring | Menswear Influence
The clean lines, fine tailoring and structure of menswear is perfect for furniture design. We love a structured piece like a sofa or tailoring in accent chairs. Very excited to see how this trend is used. We also see this play out in patterns because a classic suiting plaid is timeless.
Color | Pattern Influence
Seeing more color in furniture is a trend we have seen for a while. No more sad beige ( even though we love a neutral moment )! Time to think outside the box with patterns too. We have been loving the pattern- drenching trend, adding more patterns to your space with burl woods, pillows and wallpapers.
Draped | Curved Shaped Influence
The effortless style of a draped item is all about the curves it gives. This play of shapes, curves and movement has been all around the furniture world for a few years- but we have a feeling this year it will be hard to miss.
Brown Influence
This will be the color of the season. So many shades and tones in this luxe color. We will see this everywhere from paint, furniture, art and more. This is a great tone for those wanting to add warmth and dimension to any space. Excited to use this color in some upcoming projects.
Opulence | Embellishment Influence
No surprise we love adding sass and a little bling goes a long way! From lighting, accessories and even furniture- can’t wait to see where we will see this trend show up at market.
